EmailLabs provides an option to integrate with Google Analytics. With our new application, EmailLabs will automatically add UTM’s to links included in your emails.
If you want to find out if your customers make a purchase after clicking on a link, finish their purchase or simply do nothing, this feature gives you a full control over it.
UTMs (Urchin Tracking Module) are special short snippets of text added to URLs, thanks to which you can track the effectiveness of your online marketing activities in Google Analytics. Using specially prepared links, along with so called UTM’s, you will know which medium led the customer to the action you have set up in Google Analytics.

As Google’s documentation above shows, any Google Analytics user can create and analyze special tracking links. However, the problem arises when the links included in your emails are generated automatically, by the available system, and there is no chance for you to interfere in their structure. That’s where EmailLabs comes to the rescue.
The only thing you need to do is to select the email address or the email subject to which you want to assign Google Analytics tracking codes in the dashboard, and you’re done! EmailLabsTM will automatically add UTM’s to your links.

An in-depth knowledge of the effectiveness of actions taken is what makes the best marketers stand out. With the Google Analytics integration, you’ll know everything about the successful performance of your email campaigns. There are a number of possibilities, so to avoid writing an entire book on this topic, we’ve chosen a few that we think might be the most interesting.
If you’d like to verify whether customers immediately after subscribing to your newsletter, make purchases in your store, or sign up for your service, just add UTMs to the link in the email message and check what they do after clicking on it. Think also about testing sign-up bonuses – e.g. 20% discount vs. 50 PLN discount and see with which option customers do purchases more often.
Whenever a user resets his password, he usually wants to log in to your service or make a purchase from your online store. These types of emails are extremely important in e-commerce as usually a password reset precedes a purchase. Now, you’ll be able to track whether each password reset leads to a completed transaction. If it does, you’ll know that every un-clicked reset link could mean lost potential profits for you.
Have you started your Marketing Automation adventure, sending abandoned shopping carts, but not sure how much do you earn from these messages? Add appropriate UTMs and track how much money each shopping cart makes for you. Also, you can compare the effectiveness of different promotions – for example, free shipping vs. 10% discount on purchases.
Find out how much do you earn on individual newsletters, test the effectiveness of subjects and Email designs. Integration with Google Analytics lets you check how many customers made a purchase after clicking on links embedded in the newsletter.
Having EmailLabs integrated with Google Analytics, you have everything you need to know about the effectiveness of your emailing efforts. A new feature for adding UTM’s is now available in the dashboard – be sure to check it out!
